Bickimer Electric was founded in 2012 by husband and wife team, Mike and Melissa Bickimer. Mike got an early start in the service industry from the ground up with his father’s company, Bickimer Construction, operated out of Johnson County, Kansas.
After attending the University of Kansas and earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mike moved to Jacksonville, Florida, becoming one of the most successful electricians in the area.
With hard-won experience in business operations and a decade of experience as a certified master electrician, Mike knew it was time to bring his knowledge and expertise back home to the people of Kansas City and Overland Park.
In their personal lives, Mike and Melissa are board members of both the Promise of Learning Foundation and Joseph’s Way, two organizations dedicated to helping secular and religious charities achieve their goals. Charities Mike and Melissa have supported through these boards include Kids TLC, the KCK Foundation for Excellence, Bishop Ward, Holy Spirit, KCKCC, Morning Glory Ministries, the Will To Succeed Foundation, and many more.
